Dubai is not only rich in oil but in minerals such as gold. Some of the famous buildings are actually designed with gold. Those kinds of structures cannot be found anywhere else. I guess it's also what makes Dubai stand out from all the other destinations.
Not really something to be worth investing there, really. They start investing in other areas of interest, because they very well know black gold will be out of play in a moment's notice, and this is what really frightens me.
I live the UAE story. They took the money they made from oil and built a beautiful amazing society on the banks of the Persian Gulf. I wish Canada would learn a lesson from them. 3rd world countries mine and sell resources, world class countries add value and create wealth out of their environments.
