The European project, the European Union was a tremendous flop, they failed on every single line and not even the UK joined the euro. Now they need to reinvent themselves, almost 30 years later.
Yep, I originally like the idea of the EU, but the problem is they did it half-way. It was just one of those things where you either need to go all in, or stay out. Now they have themselves in this huge mess. The entire situation in Greece is almost laughable that now they are considering leaving the EU after being bailed out for the last 10 years by the EU.
Call me cooky, but slow growth and a long period of no inflation in an environment where rates are being held down is concerning. In fact, it sounds quite familiar. Markets go up and down. They aren't supposed to just go up and up and up. We're supposed to have some inflation and healthy interest rates. Low rates and easy money may make it easier to pay back debt and may help artificially pump up equity markets, but they also create problems after a while.
