This is a very common story. It happens to everyone at some point of time. I have also faced similar kind of situations when nothing went in my favor. No matter how hard I tried, nothing worked out. But, I never ever thought of giving up and ultimately overcame all the obstacles. Be positive and keep working hard. I am sure all will be well.

I think we all experience the overload of stuff we need to do at least once in our life. Some are a bit out of luck and experience it multiple times, but that doesn't mean you can't successfully achieve whatever you want to achieve.

But now since you uttered your problems, I now start to think there might be something awaiting me at the corner.

When I comes to the actual paperwork in the process of buying a house, this is my best advice, DO NOT believe anyone that tells you it will only take a couple of weeks, expect it to be a month and a half if you are lucky, then stop worrying about the paperwork. I can pretty much tell you the people that are processing it are not really worried at all. I find the actual mental state of changing that part of your life to be more stressful. just the act of packing up stuff forces you to revisit issues you thought were laid to rest. All it takes is to find an item that reminds you of something, like a lost love, a divorce, something you wanted to do but didn't or couldn't. Emotionally there is all that baggage, on top of the actual stuff you have to move.

I have always felt that moving can be very cleansing in a way- you get a new start with a new frame to reference for the day to day things. It probably is a good time to see a priest or a counselor and deal with any of the things that you need to get resolved. Then enjoy your new reboot at life. Just remember as far as the physical possessions go, you could probably load a truck in a single weekend. Just get that dumpster and make a decision on where the stuff is going to go. Keep what you need and leave the rest.

If one never has days like that, then one is not truly living.

Also, I think it depends on geography...my guess is that New Yorkers, for example, probably have a LOT of days like this...
