Hello all. This is sort of a general question. What financial commentators do you normally listen to? Any you can't stand? Most importantly, why? Thanks.
I like Joe Kernen, Michele Caruso-Cabrera, Sharon Epperson, David Faber, Bob Pisani, Rick Santelli, Larry Kudlow, Kelly Evans, Amanda Drury (hottie) and even Cramer on CNBC. I also like Charles Payne, John Layfield, Melissa Francis, Varney, Maria Bartiromo, Lauren Simonetti, and Charlie Gasparino on Fox Biz. There are some on CNBC who I don't like because they're clearly biased liberal / borderline socialists, despite being on a business network.
I like Cramer, but mostly I like using different websites and more recently, this forum. I tend to be skeptical about most "professionals", but instead prefer to listen to regular folk on the forums. I suppose it's good to get a diverse mix of opinions though.
I've listened to a lot of them, but I don't particularly like any of the financial commentators. It's not that I don't trust them, though. I just prefer to catch my investment news and predictions elsewhere, and I also like to control my own destiny. It's gotten me far enough to where I don't feel the need to listen to too many external voices, as far as commentators are concerned, at least the well-known ones.
I generally try to ignore all sorts of financial "professionals" Two reasons: #1. Those who can't do, teach. #2. If you are a real investment guru, then why are you wearing a suit in an office in New York/Los Angeles/Anywhere else instead of sitting on a beach somewhere sipping margarita while being surrounded by top models wearing bikinis? (and making those couple of transactions per day that make you rich)
