Are we at the stage where the sum of the parts is greater than the current market capitalisation of GE?
The down trend seems deeply entrenched at the moment - the new management surely need to make some announcements and try to get interest going again. If they did need to raise finance in the markets it is getting more and more expensive the lower the share price falls. Worrying times but I still feel there is value in there - somewhere!
The down trend is still very strong and this needs to be broken before the shares stand any chance of a rally. What are the new management doing? Twiddling their fingers? They need to start addressing the underlying issues and turn this giant of a ship around.
The $6m question - When do you buy GE? There will be a time to buy but I fear we will see a few more false dawns along the way.
What kind of target do you have in mind JR? I would love to see some research on the sum of the parts.
