As it turns out, there's a bunch of them... (Gotta love the Internet, right?) I'm going to give them a try, but I would appreciate your feedback if you know of one which is awesome, or one I should stay away from... Hope this helps other newbies aswell... These are some really good ones and I am going to take some time to look into them I will tell you that I think that anything that you can get from Dave Ramsey would be good because I have followed some of his advice and he always shares really good stuff.
There's a thread around here somewhere, where people who actually know what the hell they are talking about, had some not so very nice things to say about Dave Ramnsey... Can't find it now. Haven't had the chance to try any of these yet. I'm just going to go through the list, instead of trying to choose one...
I think Dave Ramsey's investing advice is good, but very simple. And that is what he strives for. He doesn't want people having to worry about checking stocks everyday in fear of getting hosed. He only suggests Mutual Funds with a long track record of 10% gains. I am debt free because of his teachings, and now am able to invest. But I enjoy the stock market, and the day to day action, so I like buying single stocks, (something he always says not to).
If he understands that his audience consists of primarily people with close to zero stock market knowledge, then that seems very responsible of him. I never found the quote, but I do remember someone saying something. It most definitely wasn't a newbie though. Since I have the day off today, it is settled. Me and Mr. Dave Ramsey shall meet after dinner.
