Do you have any shares you simply keep buying in small tranches because you think they will continue to do well in the longer term? I will set the list off with:- Main Stream Amazon - set to grab a growing share of the online market Speculative Mattel - recent approach by Hasbro was rebuffed but I think the company is now in play
Can you really go wrong with Apple? Or whatabout an investment in Elon Musk and Tesla? Tesla is controversial but it keeps confounding critics!
Google is still my largest holding. I've noticed in recent years that I've accumulated decent sized positions in a number of companies in a couple of industries in particular - semiconductors and specialty chemicals. I own a large number of stocks and am pretty well diversified among almost all of the 11 main sectors.
I think companies like Snapchat have had their day as the bigger social media companies continue to copy their services and products. If you can't buy them, simply copy them - this has worked for Facebook since day one. Facebook is probably one to look at long term as I think the company will squeeze a lot of dollars out of customer data and useage info in the future.
