Elsewhere I mentioned the slick Dabiq magazine. It is just one piece of a larger media organization within IS/ISUS/ISIL/Daesh. This article takes a closer look at a segment mostly ignored by Western media.

Read the linked BBC piece -- http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-88492697-b674-4c69-8426-3edd17b7daed -- too. It has some additional reference material.

In my opinion, if the Western media would pay attention to more than gory videos and fighting, and spent more time countering the fallacious arguments attracting some of the youth, we might impede the recruitment of new IS/ISUS/ISIL/Daesh members.

It's why I've always held the belief that this war is about winning over the hearts and minds of the people ISIS are trying to recruit. If they can be won over then that's a pretty big blow to them.

I doubt trying to shut it down will do anything because it will just rise up again in another form, but counter propaganda will be a good move I think.

ISIS is really making use of social media these days, I can't believe how efficient a tool it can be to recruit Muslims, teens and foreigners into joining the Islamic State. They're really targeting the isolated and insulated types for sure. I saw the Tumblr blog where you can ask a Jihadi any question, it truly made me question modern warfare, terrorism and social media's role in all of it. The worse of all this is that since it's on the internet anyone can have access to it which means anyone can get recruited over the web, your friends and family might be prone to it we really won't know. ISIS propaganda should be taken down.

The cultural propaganda war is much harder to fight, especially when members of the family who live with the converted don't even know. How do you tackle the issue? With the internet people have access to information which isn't necessarily true, but with ethnic diversity, some get brainwashed into this and they know it has to be a secret.

I know in the UK they have tried to work with the Muslim community, however, they( the Muslims) keep saying it's not a Muslim issue, despite most of the home grown terrorists do come from a Muslim background.

Yes the real videos don't get media exposure at all and that's because they have an agenda. They also always use the word "militant" which I'm sick of. They're not militant, they're just regular muslims following their satanic book.

People think that they are a disorganized group of desertmen.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
    Good share.
What we are dealing with is an educated, wealthy, organized and very sophisticated group hell-bent on taking over the middle east.
