Investment Decisions should be based on proper analysis.Technical and fundamental analysis is the two basic analytical tools that are being used the traders today. In times of quick solutions, technical analysis is the ideal tool whereas fundamental analysis is long term solution.

Actually, both these two types of analysis are necessary for any trading style. In fact, fundamental analysis gives general understanding of the situations and the hidden factors moving the prices while propers technical analysis helps to find the entry point with the best possible risk-reward ratio. Even in case of scalping when trader holds the position opened just for a few minutes funamental analysis is also important because it is necesssary to check the news announcements to avoid trading since new could cause elevated volatility.
At the same time, the only way to make profit without paying attention to technical analysis is value investment. If you analyse the company and your decision is based solely on fundamental criteria, you can buy shares and hold them till the situation will change to the opposite, buying more shares on each pullback. In such case you do not need to find entry point since the holding period would be longer than a year.

Great response from Anderson. While others might disagree, I am sure it is possible to invest and make profit without technical analysis. Fundamental analysis is a standalone strategy. Follow the news with keen attention and profit from it.
