Bauxite has long been mined for the extraction of aluminum but in recent times, based on what I've observed, there has been a decline in the demand for aluminum. However, some bauxite companies are still seeking lands that are considered rich in bauxite. In my region, often these lands have valuable forests which are habitats for endangered species. So I'm wondering if bauxite mining is still viable enough to sacrifice these valuable forests.
