Israel and Palestine agreed to a 3 day truce. How can any resolution to this conflict make up for the lost of over 1,000 lives in civilian deaths?I feel the truce is very important right now. Both parties need time to think about their actions. Around 1300 people died so far without proper cause and valid reason. Israel does not consider that as a loss. I feel Israel is about absolute power and Israeli soldiers want to let the world see what they can do. Palestine is being equally destructive as they are engaging in a battle where they can't win and seem unwilling to let any discussions take place between themselves and Israel. There's so much blame to go around for both countries but what about the civilians who are dying because of politicians lack of ability to communicate rationally? What is your opinion?

The problem is that Israel isn't interested in dialogue at all, they even refused that truce last week to remove the bodies of the victims...
Then they bomb hospitals and schools, there's no justification possible for this, I just don't know why other countries don't interfere.

Hamas has refused its fair share of truces as well, both sides are the criminals in this war. I still think Israel is worse though, as you'd expect. They would commit genocide on the Palestinians if they thought they could do it without consequences, but again Hamas would do the same to them. The difference is Israel is actually killing Civilians on a mass scale, just not genocide levels.

It's kind of hard to think clearly when someone has been pounding on you for years. It's easier for us to sit here in our safe homes and say Hamas should not engage in battle. But I do wonder what we Americans would do if Canada was continuously bombing us and when they weren't, they were falsely arresting us, beating us, maiming us, stealing land from us, creating check points every few blocks... all because we are American... and of course we sit on the land they want ???

Living in a state of eternal terror rarely creates passivity or clear, non-angry thoughts.

If you haven't already, you should see the map of when the land was stolen from the Palestinians by the West (aka UN in the 1940s) and given to WWII Jewish victims to create the new Israel. And then see the map today. You'd be shocked to see how much land has been systematically stolen from the Palestinians over the last 60+ years. Each war that Israel starts has a purpose, kill more Palestinians... take more land... What people fail to understand is such methods always creates a Hamas sort of situation.
