http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/pa...-desk-terrorists-staffed-around-clock-n464391 Are you kidding me? A help desk? And Obama said less than 24 hours before the Paris attacks IS/ISUS/ISIL is contained? Can't make this stuff up. Disgusting. Maybe the Anonymous group, active on Twitter, can help; the group issued a warning "we are coming for you" warning to IS/ISUS/ISIL on French TV earlier today. Reportedly, Anonymous has outed thousands of IS/ISUS/ISIL Twitter accounts and disrupted many web sites.
Anonymous getting invloved is very interesting. A lot of propaganda can get shut down and hopefully help stop the spread of these terrible idea's.
I'm sure they have had these hidden 'helpdesks' and forums in secret chat rooms, which is how they have recruited people. This means these people can be anywhere in the world. Surely people are willing to concede some of their privacy to allow the government to monitor people who use these sites? If it saves lives, isn't is worth it? If you have nothing to hide then why fear it?
The fight against ISIS is a fight against an ideology and first thing that needs to be done is stop them from spreading propaganda. Hunt them down everywhere they hide on the net, shut down their services, make it almost impossible for them to communicate. Anonymous could get this done if only they could work together as a cohesive unit.
Didn't Anonymous do something similar after the Hebdo attacks though, and then that was the last we heard? Social media is where IS spout their propaganda and everyone knows that's where they get most of their followers so you'd think at least there would be measure in place to stop them? Hopefully Anonymous CAN do something but surely it shouldn't be up to them in the first place?
Well, this isn't really suprising given how organised they are. What as concerning is what the OP said, in that Obama claimed they were contained, yet they go on to attack shortly after. Also, if France knew of these training camps etc, why not bomb before?
Anonymous announcing and declaring war on ISIS will not do much I do not think. Sure they have compromised some Twitter accounts of people believed to be involved with ISIS but will the authorities do something about it? I have my doubts because it could be seen as invasive or some other PC bull.
Hackers knock out ISIS's Dark Net propaganda site. It looks like Anonymous is doing something more than lip service. Ah, chaos... good for the hacker group! http://www.dailydot.com/politics/isis-tor-hidden-service-down/
I say this on the Daily Mail site earlier. Apparently they replaced all the content with an advert for Viagra tablets with a question above asking ISIS members if they need some support It's pretty funny really and in the grand scheme of things I doubt it will do much, but in terms of moral it is sure to boost it a bit I'll bet.
