Luckily we have the internet to read from journalists with no restrictions. The only problem is the fact that there is a much greater chance that the information they write in false (well, we still see false information from major outlets anyway...).
Guys, this is not something new under the sun. As a matter of fact, you can trace such practices of journalists being restricted in terms of what they report back to the Civil War era. President Lincoln impose temporary legislation to stop journalists from reporting stories being too critical of his administration. As we fast forward to now, journalists work under companies who generally have a perspective they want to present to their audience. Journalists must adhere to these guidelines and put out stories they are assign to. It's a job and they have to do it.
Mainstream media is basically propaganda and it is getting more Orwellian as time goes by. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...ma-secrecy-and-her-new-york-times-firing.html
I agree. And they are very biased to the left and invest a great deal in novelty minority politicians like Obama and Hillary, and go to great lengths to protect those investments. They are also threatened and harassed by the powers that be if they don't play ball.
It is unfortunate but true; journalism is one of the challenging careers. Some nations try to gauge their media when they do not want information to reach the masses. Some stories done by a number of journalists remain untold in their archives due to the limit on the line of freedom set.
