Toward the end of last season's SNL, cast member Kate McKinnon built a quite a following by skewering Hillary Rodham Clinton. (A number of the videos are on YouTube; have a look.) Hillary will appear in the cold open of this weekend's SNL opener (http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2015/10/01/hillary-clinton-saturday-night-live/). One can only imagine the efforts of Clinton staff to control the SNL writers to minimize the damage that SNL can impart. Obviously other print publications have articles on the SNL appearance. Depending on your political persuasion it might be amusing or sad or flat. I'm interested to hear some of today's conservative radio commentary, and the post-analysis on Monday. I like Rush, but that's a discussion for another time and place. I would expect CNN, MSN and Fox News to report on this SNL appearance, and do pre- and post-commentary. YMMV.
I think Kate McKinnon;s impression of Hillary Clinton is hilarious. I have stopped watching SNL, because by and large it isn't funny any more but I may record just that part of it. I have to work Saturday and will be home very late, but that part I would be interested in watching. It is similar to when Sarah Palin went on SNL to meet Tina Fey. All of the politicians seem to take their turn on late night shows to show they have a sense of humor and can take a joke. Of course, I am sure they don't think it is that funny.
