Craiglist apparently is the one place on the net where you get anything you want. An Atlanta woman told authorities that she placed an ad on Craiglist to get a baby for her 14 year old daughter who wanted a baby. Her ad specifically requested anyone who had a baby they didn't want to drop the baby at her home.

Baby box, huh? If she wanted a baby who not just adopt?

I seriously question the intelligence of people. Firstly a 14 year old is still a child, so how cold she even look after a baby (maybe give her a doll to play with), and the mother must have a low IQ advertising in Craigslist, which just indicates the type of people that use it.

I think it seems more a case of low intelligence, because no one who was trying to run a ring would advertise and give their real details. Can you be arrested for being stupid?

It seems that people will go to any lengths in order to get a baby but the only time a person would go to extreme measures such as this, is if there was no other way.

Buying a baby is obviously not even an option and sometimes people have to understand that there is no other way for a reason and its to the benefit of them, and the baby that they aren't allowed to go down any other routes.

Really stupid way to try an get a baby for her daughter who is no older than a kid herself.

I have to admit that I do like the good side of it though. I mean by the unwanted baby going to them it would prevent it from having to be put up for adoption an go through all the fostering process and stuff. It's still not a good situation though, it's like saying you got some great pics of a tsunami before it washed away your home...

Yeah, I was reading the story and thinking to myself "well at least the baby would be with a family that whats them etc", then I realized the woman's daughter was 14 years old and thought "maybe not".

Once again, Craislist delivers the madness.

Like mother like daughter. Both of them need to be sterilized. I know that sounds radical, but does anyone seriously think that any good can come from either one of them having a child?

Could be the kid is lonely and thinks a baby is all she needs to be happy. Obviously though she doesn't know much about children. I think the kid needs some professional counseling because the mother apparently can't offer any valuable advice to her child.

Because people who are this stupid won't get a baby through an adoption agency. The babies are better off starving in Africa than being taken care of by a woman like this. :D

Ebay is no different and I'm kind of surprised we have not seen a story yet of someone putting up an auction for their baby on there yet...I know someone tried to sell their soul on there many many years back....
