Do you think national guards should be sent to the Texas-Mexico border? Is this more of a political move than a protecting the border and safety issue? And who do you think should foot the bill, the US government or people living in Texas?

Are they already doing this or is it just being discussed as an option? I don't think that Texas should have to foot the bill entirely because it isn't really a state problem. It is a national problem.

The US government is responsible for protecting it's own territory and the National Guard should be assisting the Border Patrol. However, I have read that the US government feels that protecting the Texas-Mexico border is a huge expense. I have heard horror stories about homeowners being accosted on their property by persons escaping into the country.
