Obama signs legislation barring Gitmo prisoners being transferred to US prisons

Wanted to add that this is the situation nowadays. In the beginning it was of course different... hell the whole world and rules of war were different. I don't know if they were identified as "french soldiers" back in the day but the UN certainly couldn't have "solved" it since the legion started out over 100 years before the UN was created.
