I've seen a lot of media giving attention in the past couple days to Obama's tears for child victims of gun violence in the United States. Many presume that he faked his tears. Some have surmised that he could not have empathy for children here since he lacks empathy, they say, for the children killed by drone strikes he authorizes in Syria. I mean no matter if the tears were fake or not. Deaths by gun violence is pretty saddening especially when children are involved. What do you guys think, were his tears or crocodile tears a big deal?
As I stated within a thread about IS -- http://www.bullmarketboard.com/threads/6612-Inside-the-Secret-IS-Terror-Weapons-Lab -- Obama ignores the terrorist threat and focuses on meaningless actions on guns and climate. Not to say we should forget the children of Connecticut, but his exectutive order and CNN "town hall" play to the anti-gun liberals isn't going isn't going to reduce the number of guns on the street. Criminals and thugs don't acquire gun permits to buy guns. He may very well be sad for the children, but there were no such tears for the victims in San Bernardino or (so far) for the up-close shooting of the Philadelphia police officer 21 hours ago. Both have ISIS ties, but unrecognized as such by Obama. Focus on the children and ignore the IS recruitment and terrorist activity; let's call them JV and criminals instead. By the way, the Philadelphia assassination attempt was carried out with a 9 mm Glock issued to a Philadelphia police officer and later stolen from his home in 2013. Gun permits are the solution? You betcha. Tears for getting guns off the street? Double-betcha. Pfft.
I saw that news report where Obama was shedding tears of compassion for the victims of gun attacks. I do not question his tears because sometimes a person gets emotional when he is focused on the sadness of the topic. If Obama's mind was deep down to the topic of those killing of children, I guess his tears are real. But it wouldn't matter much now since he is not a re-electionist anymore.
The thing that one person said about his executive orders is that over a long period it would take guns off the street out of criminals hands because of the deterioration over time. He compared it to automobiles breaking down or what have you. I really think that's not a good comparison though lol.
I think, Tears are real or fake, don't matters. If you are politician and President of 1 sovereign nation. Your job is to encourage citizens by enthusiasm, optimism etc. for further developments. Individually,he can sit in his personal room, where he can shed tears as a citizen. but, in society, Voters of nation selected you for 1 responsibility, you must never disgrace them by shedding tears in front of them. I believe this is irresponsible behavior from 1 politician. If country's no. 1 Citizen lost hopes and showing weakness, then what about millions citizens of that country.
Crocodile... no question in my mind whatsoever. You have to remember the timing... especially the timing as it applies to the executive order that was in the wings, ya know? See, here's what I'm thinking... he's been President for a long time (seems like an eternity, but I won't go there) and... well bluntly, a LOT of hellish things have happened on his watch. Did you see tears at the church shooting? At the California mass murder? At *any* other disaster in all these years? Nope. But tears when you're about to do one of your infamous executive orders to thumb your nose at what Congress and the people want, you betcha. Doesn't really take a degree in rocket science to see through this.
Over here in the UK there as also been a lot of news coverage regarding Obama and his tears and I do agree that they didn't seem genuine and just a ploy to try and get what he wants. While I don't think it's right when people say that he never shed a tear when he was carrying out attacks abroad, so this proves he as no compassion, that was an act carried out as part of a military campaign, regardless of if people thought it was necessary or not, it was part of his job. Why I do think this time they were crocodile tears is because in all the other attacks on US soil he's never shed a tear, so why all of a sudden now? Maybe because he wants something out of it?
Whether or not his focus was on the wrong goal (i.e. should have been thinking terrorism - which in number of deaths terms is really a drop in the ocean relative to gun crime, in my view), I really can't imagine anyone faking tears over such an issue. He would always be under the spotlight under such an announcement, but to fake tears in front of a nation of angry people? Really? Just because he didn't cry to order in relation to other atrocities, it doesn't mean that he can't cry on the spur of the moment.
Do you know, Onionman, that this was on the eve of a very unpopular executive order about.... yeah, gun control? Timing is.... sometimes everything, yes?
Anyone accusing President Obama of falsifying his emotions have probably not shed a tear themselves for the situation.
