It is no news for enthusiast of recent African history that this human being considered for canonization is not usual. 'Julius Nyerere' like both moses and joshua, marshaled armies to liberate colonised Africa (south Africa and mozambique) through his support of liberation groups. Likewise, he fought tyrant African leader like idi Amin. Well even in the catholic circle, among moralist, war can be justified if in self defence or to avert tremendous loss of life and property; as long as it not an excuse for self-enrichment, setting old scores or vengeance.
Julius Nyerere was a great leader compared to all African leaders that have ever ruled in the different Nations of Africa, and up to date there has not been any Leader or should I say president that has been of his caliber.
