It looks as though cybersecurity is back in vogue again with OKTA beating analyst’s expectations. Is it time to buy into the sector? Cybersecurity is a funny industry because without cyber attacks it can be a difficult sell. However, the more cyber attacks there are, the more people begin to doubt the quality of cyber security software already out there. Very difficult! However, looking purely at the graph this one has been improving for some time.
Cybersecurity has been seen as a waste of money by many businesses in recent times but that opinion is slowly changing. Tighter laws and a need to ensure customer's that their data is safe is making many think again. Looking from a top down approach I would say the sector is back in favour

Any concerted bounce over $64 and this share is back in an uptrend - it is highly likely that cybersecurity company share prices will be volatile in the future. It is going to be a very crowded and very competitive area of the market. Maybe the key to making money in this sector is finding the quality companies which will be taken out by their larger competitors. Which ones are causing a stir in the market? Which ones are getting under the skin of the big players?
Stuck in a tight range at the moment but I expect the shares to push through resistance and move back towards the $70 a share level.
