The longest running executive in the State's history and, arguably, the biggest Marxist to hold the office is said to be resigning amid a massive corruption scandal. The associated press has information here. There should be plenty of fallout from this one.

What one does in the cover of darkness so to say, eventually might be exposed. It's relatively easy to use one's position to their benefit or their family's benefit. While this further proves that corruption exists, the question is how far does it extend? We've been living in denial far too long thinking that only third world countries embrace corruption. The smarter the person the harder it is to catch them red-handed . . .

Now the Feds are involved with an investigation. Things should start to get interesting in the Beaver state.

Sadly, his replacement is nothing to get excited about. :(

They recently had a similar issue with a top NY Democrat official.

It's always fun to see the coverage or lack thereof such scandals get in the MSM depending upon what party, race, or religion the offender belongs to.

Agreed. Isn't it cute how little the press runs with a story if there is a "D" behind the politico's name? Kitzhaber was able to fly under the radar for a very long time. This shenanigan's with his fiancee, however, was just too big and too corrupt for it to go unnoticed. Frankly, good riddance, and if the feds do find something, I hope there is some accountability. Considering the state of our country, I'm not holding my breath on that one. ;)

And when it's a Republican politician, the headlines are always on page 1 with "REPUBLICAN..." in big letters.

When it's a Democrat politician, it's rarely anywhere near the front or top of the MSM paper or website (if covered at all), and "Democrat..." is usually absent from the headline.

Theres definitely bias that becomes apparent when a Democrat gets charged with crimes and corruption. Republican corruption is definitely covered much more in depth. I'm not even saying this because I'm a Republican. Its fact.

On that point, when Mayor Ray Nagin was finally nailed for unbelievable levels of corruption, I noticed the press downplayed his affiliation. That guy wasn't just corrupt, it was cartoonish, silent-film villain, level of corrupt. Fortunately the feds brought him down and he's currently enjoying Club Fed. But, I digress.

And the Obama admin has also reached that cartoon-ish level where they are pretty much beyond being able to be parodied.

Not surprising considering the state that Oregon is currently in. And just another example of how blatantly biased media is towards the democratic party.

I actually brought this up in one of my government classes the other day as it was relevant to our discussion and was promptly shot-down because the teacher hadn't hurt of it. Yet, he knew anything and everything with the Ferguson case, the Garner case, etc. I guess Democratic corruption isn't meaningful to concern ourselves with?
