While the coronavirus will come under control at some point, we have seen a number of similar viruses emerge from the Far East in recent years. If this trend continues, should we be looking at biotech stocks for virus vaccines?

The best way would be to buy a basket of shares of companies which are working on vaccines which would hedge your bets. If one came up trumps then you would still make a fortune. High risk but potential huge returns, you buy into one share and they end up being THE ONE - however, unlikely.

Buying one biotech company is a shot in the dark, buying a pool of high quality shares might just be the way to potential huge returns. Even some of the better biotech shares will fail so buying a pool spreads the risk. Viruses appear here to stay so any companies that can get actively involved in vaccines might just be a huge winner!
