An investor wants to day-trade and earn $20.00 per day.

Scenario one: purchase 125 shares of Ford for $1000. Here we need a gain of 16 cents pershare.

Scenario two: purchase 10 shares of Microsoft at $200 per share. Here we need a gain of $4.00 per share.

The percentage gain is the same (2%) as is the dollar gain. My question is: Is one of the above scenarios more likely to occur than the other?
