It didn't take long for someone to come out to say the shallow statement "buy the election". All elections are bought. People use to talk about the Iraq war as "really about oil". Now how is it that people come up with the reasons for why someone runs for Prez or why the Iraq war happened ? Because the answers or reasons for these things happening are simple ones directly or indirectly, and so what, there is nothing new about this. They are empty statements or cop-outs. If it is the only view one has then it is one of ignorance and it would save time if you just said "I don't like him" instead of the easy to identify mask.
Jeb Bush's campaign is going nowhere. Hillary Clintons is in trouble as well. Folks are tired of the status quo. I'm not a fan of Donald Trump but he at least gives folks the impression that hes willing to shake things up. Its a change election. People are tired of mediocrity.
You know I thought Trump was going to be a joke too, mostly because of some of his comments and how he was championing the Obama birth certificate ordeal. But I do have a respect and appreciation for his real world business savvy and the point that the article at the start of this thread makes: he isn't establishment. In addition, I went to Youtube over these last few weeks and watched some of his interviews. I have to admit, he sounds good and has substance. He means business and I no longer think he is a joke. If anything, I love how he calls a spade a spade and isn't politically correct. That is what not being a typical fake and phony politicians buys him. This should be an interesting race!
As of today Iowa is showing poll numbers where Trump & Carson are tied followed by Fiorina. Imagine that, 3 outsiders. TheApollolian says "I promise Trump will not win" I have to ask -win what? The Republican nomination? The Presidential election? What if he runs third party? Then who will win? There's a lot of time for anyone to win. I can say that if Trump doesn't go third party and wins the nomination -he wins the Oval Office, as a matter of fact if Trump doesn't run 3rd party then whoever wins Republican nomination wins the Office. I also believe with a 3rd party whoever the 3 final choices are would leave the election up in the air
If Trump runs third party thats just going to guarantee that the Democrats win the election. As awful as Trump is, he would definitely cut into Republican support. I think its absurd we're allowing this clown in Republican debates. If hes not a Democrat plant, hes acting a lot like one.
If Clinton runs with all the baggage and assuming it's a 3 person race her chance is not any better than Trump. All this splitting the vote is silly because it solely relies on factors which can not be replicated from history and if they had not let him in the debates they would have far more problems. I would bet if he never entered the race Bush would be in front and all the other Republicans running would have not been able to stir up the media to gain any attention no matter what. He alone has helped open the race up to others. This is exactly why we see Bush has lost his public appeal because he is more of an establishment candidate than any of the others. In other words Trump presence alone is what will keep an establishment candidate in the background. Maybe you like Bush
The thing is, we didn't even touch the oil, which I believe was foolish as well. If we went over their based upon bad intel or whatever, spent a trillion dollars, and lost and scarred thousands of American lives, we should have at least taken the oil - and given the country a 20% cut the way oil companies do here.
The oil we didn't get, the rules of engagement which makes me wonder if we are nuts, the abu ghraib prison dilemma portrayed as something worse than the concentration camps of WWII, but intel was the least of my worries. Our public bought the notion of No WMD's , but the fact is, no intel was related to something called IRAQ REFUSED ACCESS. It was not as if Iraq SHOWED us they destroyed them but instead Iraq TOLD us. With that, the U.S. public began another era of stupidity. Are we crazy? I remember some lefty on CNN Crossfire say "He (Hussein)said he destroyed them" as is if Hussein was a man of his word. You know, except the access part.
