I am a bit surprised that there are disrespectful stories going around concerning how he died. I do feel people should be allowed to die with dignity and respect, and an autopsy as they say was necessary as he died alone and for the record. I watched the police giving a statement yesterday and the thing is it won't bring him back, and even if he was ill that's private and it will be for the family to take into consideration. It's sad when the media hypes things like this, just pay a tribute and leave it at that.
That reminds me heavily of Michael Jackson. However, this guy was different. Definitely, a talent. He will be missed.
I'm kind of young for meeting him because his success was part of another decade, but my mom really likes that kind of music and she talked to me about him a few times and how he handle to break the binary and do something queer in the 80's... It's amazing. I have so many respect for that human, he will be missed.
While I was never a huge fan of his work, I have to give the guy props for what he accomplished artistically and professionally. He worked in a genre I don't give much regard, but still, he was a master at his craft. And to go at age 57 is just too damn young. Related thought: Price and Michael Jackson are both gone and at a fairly early age. Half of the Beatles are no longer with us either. And yet, Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath is around and The Rolling Stones are alive, well, and touring. I did not see that one coming.
I was shocked. Didn't expect another big music legend to die right after David Bowie, it just goes to show that death is unexpected you should appreciate them while they're alive. I read that it was an opiate overdoes, I guess he wanted to alleviate his pain but now he can finally rest in peace.
I too was so shocked when it happened. Unfortunately addiction is a disease that many people suffer from regardless of who they are and what their occupation is. I hope he has found peace.
