Interesting - I wonder if some of this is because of the seasonal effect? People buying before Xmas and lots of sellers in the New Year selling gifts they dont need?

We are approaching that time of year again when people look to list those unwanted Xmas gifts on eBay - time to buy? Short term share price spike on the way?

I agree - auction sites have come and gone but eBay is the only globally recognised online auction site.

Is eBay the Amazon of the auction world? One to buy and just tuck away for your retirement?

I wonder if Amazon will ever enter this market?

Amazon is a totally different business model - however, it does look as though the eBay share price is set for a run higher if it can break imminent resistance on the upside.

After hopes that they would push ahead, eBay seems to be under a bit of pressure at the moment. Once they settle down, personally I think this is the type of stock you buy in small chunks and just tuck away.

Looks as though there is quite a bit of downside potential in the short term if it breaks through support levels. Still one to buy and tuck away but I would prefer to buy on really bad days :)

I agree with others, this is a buy and tuck it away stock. The company just quietly goes about its own business - it has even dropped former subsidiary PayPal in favour of another payment processing company.
