    Warren Buffett, the billionaire investor, has had a long-term dislike of technology shares although it would appear this is starting to fade. Filings in the last final quarter of 2016 cast a very interesting light on his Berkshire investment vehicle and his apparent switch from core long-term investments into Apple and airline companies.

    Apple will surely need to find a way to spend its massive warchest at some point? I agree with you, once the froth is blown off the share price then it will be worth buying a few to tuck away for the future.

    I'd like to see them make some wise acquisitions with some of that cash.

    Aside from the Beats headset company I don't think they have really made any big acquisitions?

    I think that's it - Beats... And I think they probably paid more for that than they should have... Oh well.

    There is a real danger that Apple could get left behind unless it starts to invest/spend that massive war chest.
