Another Orwellian fait accomplis. Time to stop demonising 'our friend' Iran now, they are back in the 'Washington fold' and ready to supply Europe with gas on the US-backed Nabucco pipeline... or are they? http://www.counterpunch.org/2014/08/18/did-iran-just-knife-putin-in-the-back/
Now the question would be will the sanctions against Iran be lifted first before they start supplying Europe with gas? And how would Russia react to that? Send more rebels from Syria to destabilize Iran? It might sound like a good solution at the moment but well . . . we'll watch for developments.
The topic is wrong. must be " Washington for help Iranian gas to supply Europe, because it is not able to force Russia
Russia supports the Assad regime and opposes the anti Assad forces which are funded by Saudi Arabia, Jordan and the West, inc Al Qaeda and ISIS. Russia has supplied Europe without fail even through the cold war. The only disruption to supply came when Ukraine failed to pay for its discounted gas and syphoned off gas meant for Europe. The South Stream pipeline would prevent that from happening but Washington want to control Europes gas. I don't think that is a good idea. Washington already dictates to Europe far too much. Seems the sanctions against Iran are now greatly reduced and likely to go away altogether.
that s big question about washingtons inconsistency, together when they need, troubling again when they dont
