My buddy is a newbie, wants to get some literature to read before investing with real money. Any recommendations?

    The Millionaire Real Estate Investor

Gary Keller does a great job making an easy read and comprehensive breakdown of what it means to be a real estate investor and how to become one. He uses interviews, stories and opinions from Millionaire Real Estate Investors throughout the country. It is more of a work book at times that can be used as a reference for later as well. Though, it is from 2005.

I was wondering if there were any e-books as well. I really need some because I'm not really big on buying paperback books anymore. I'm more of an e-book individual nowadays simply because it's a lot easier to purchase an e-book then it is to purchase a book. Thats because you have to wait for a book but when you're dealing with an e-book you can just get it right away.

I've just had a look and Amazon have a wide range of Gary Keller's ebooks available - starting at $1.99. Other introductory ebooks on investing start from a couple of dollars and there's a massive selection to choose from.

Now that is a cheap price missbishi, is it any good? I wouldn't feel comfortable reading a book that costs only $2, it just seems too cheap.
