I think while 3D printers can be the next big thing, there is always the potential for them to fail, all it takes is for a judicial decision of what items you can or cannot print without breaking copyright.
I agree with many of you; 3-D printing looks like it will more than likely become the next big thing. There are so many benefits to 3-D printing that they overrule the cons in my eyes. I feel like a fool for just now considering investing in a 3-D printing company such as 3D Systems Corporation. Not only will these printers be able to create everyday products, but I have heard that researchers are looking at how to 3-D print human organs! This is revolutionary in the medical field and would change so many lives. I really hope that 3-D imaging takes off and is used for the benefit of all man-kind and not for evil purposes.
