The thing with trump is that he's good at saying the right thing, and he tells people what they want to hear. While that is a sure way to get into the Whitehouse, once he's there I'm not sure he'll be able to follow through with his promises.

Trump's appealing to the emotions of so many is why he is doing so well in the polls. It's much the same reason why Republicans have a hard time beating Democrats these days - Dems appeal to the emotions of the dumbed-down masses by telling them what they want to hear - that they can get "free" healthcare and college, that they'll tax the hell out of the rich and the job creators (most of whom are small businesses), that everyone will be guaranteed a check and "taken care of", etc.

It seems as though a large % of the population knows very little, and is easily manipulated by crooked politicians and a compliant media on the Dem side. Far too many are fooled by bumper sticker rhetoric and "celebrity".

I'd love to see how many of these wealthy celebrities who are supporting Bernie Sanders are secretly lobbying him for various "exemptions" from the socialist policies (such as super high taxes for the rich) he plans to put into practice in the VERY unlikely event he wins.

I think celebrity voters if you want to call them that only publicly put their name behind a certain candidate for their own reasons, and I'm not entirely sure they have the countries best interest at heart, over their own.

It's appalling how many celebs and very wealthy people will publicly back a leftist candidate who is largely or entirely anti-capitalist, anti-gun, pro-big govt regulations, etc - yet will expect exemptions for themselves from such candidates. Hypocrisy at it's finest.

That reminds me of a guy I used to know. He was the business partner of one of my older brothers and an acquaintance of mine. In his personal life he was, and likely still is, an Über-Liberal who was quite vocal about supporting Big Gov. But in the business world, he'd work with their corporation's legal staff to find any and every way to avoid paying taxes. Not that there is anything wrong with that; that is just good business sense. It was just bizarre and more than a little hypocritical that someone who'd champion massive taxation didn't want pay his part of the check.

Well trying to racially profile people by calling aliens criminals sounds very Adolph Hitleresque. I mean how is he going to round up thousands of illegals and deport them? obviously you would need something like the Gestapo to do so. I am not calling Trump Hitler but he is an arrogant and unrealistic person. I would be embarrassed to be spouting the type of stuff he is spouting in public. Everyone who doesn';t agree with him is ugly or stupid...Give me a break!!!! What a clown!!

It's looking more and more like he may win the nomination. We'd better hope something bad happens to Hillary one way or another. :D

He never gives details of how he is going to do any of the stuff he talks about. Like JR said, he is appealing to the most uneducated portion of the electorate, the racist South. You take people who are unhappy with their lives, and you point at someone else and say ´that is the reason you are in this situation´. He is doing nothing but hate-mongering and stirring up a small vocal minority. Congratulations you will win Alabama, Mississippi and Kentucky where college graduation rates are lowest in the country. But hey, it is all ´their ´fault..

I can't take him seriously either. He maybe saying things that people want to hear, but the reality of it all is not feasible. In regards to abolishing citizenship to people born of illegal immigrants, it would affect more than just that and to repeal an amendment. The issue is the original intent of the amendment has been broadly interpreted and if one was to repeal an amendment, the second amendment is more important to protect the nation.

Most of the former Presidents (JFK being one) admit once they are President they realize they don't have as much power to do things as they wish. Thus, if someone can't fulfill a mandate, then they shouldn't put it forward. Running a business versus running a country are very different as you are accountable to the citizens, and unlike employees you can't just fire them.

Absolutely he doesn't. He doesn't bother to study the issues, and he thinks that it has worked for him so far so why start now? I mean he may be able to bluff his way into the nomination, but lets hope he doesn't into the presidency. I mean with what is known of his character, is this someone we really want to have leading the country? I mean really???
