Seeing as Clinton has said that she stands for the status quo why would any black person in their right mind vote for her over Sanders?

And yet, that is exactly what they did in South Carolina and they did it in DROVES. I read somewhere it was like 98% of the Democratic voters in SC support Clinton over Sanders.

Now let me tell you something. I used to own a bar in South Carolina where we did not allow black people to come party. The bar was already established when I purchased it and I had no idea that it was set up that way. I didn't change anything because if I had, I would have lost my customer base and my investment would have went down the proverbial drain...

What I did was sell that disgusting mess of a bar and get the heck out of dodge so to speak because I can't stand racism of any sort. I'm not so keen on those Black Lives Matter idiots because I believe that all lives matter. What I do believe is that Hilary, for once in her life was telling the truth about standing for the status quo and in doing so will support racism in some manner or form inadvertently or intentionally.

Somebody knocked the black community over their fool heads in South Carolina this weekend!

Your guess is good as mine. I have no idea why the Clintons, after all these years, remain popular with any demographic. And for that matter, her politics aren't all that different than Bernie Sanders.

    There are two reasons.

    1. Bernie was just not clear enough with his criminal justice ideas. The single biggest problem for African Americans is prison. It keeps millions of young men from having good jobs, which prevents them from forming stable families where children can be raised by two parents. And it is a cycle, because then you have young boys being raised without a role-model male in their life and they end up making bad choices and end up in jail. If we stop putting these men in jail for non-violent drug crimes, within a generation or two you will see african american children be raised by two parents nearly at the same rate as white children. This alone makes a huge difference.

    2. The machine. Hillary has the machine, she has the Clinton machine and she has the Obama machine. In SC, the black churches were hugely in favor of Hillary because the machine got to the pastors. Hillary had a higher percentage of black voters in SC in 2016, then Obama had in 2008. People VASTLY underestimate the importance of get-out-the-vote drives. It is why Hillary is going to crush Trump in the fall election. Forget about telephone polls where people get called in their homes.. on election day, those pastors have buses taking people to the polling stations.

Hillary is also the only candidate that has clear and specific policy in every area from healthcare to foreign policy. So you can know exactly what you are voting for, or against, with her--not just a collection of sound bites.

As for the status quo, maybe a lot of people are like me and doing quite well, and selfish enough to want more of the same. Personally I am too socialist to think how I am doing is all that counts. I lean more towards Sanders. But I appreciate Hillary's specific and comprehensive approach to policy.

Not clear enough with his criminal justice ideas.....ok.......BS!

And there is a really good reason why the majority of men in prison are black, its because they are the ones committing the crimes.

Now there are things we could do to lower this and the majority of them have nothing to do with criminal justice ideas. Not that reality means much to the Black Lives Matter idiots running around and causing trouble. And people thought the occupiers were a menace...

We need better wages, the elimination of the race question off of employment applications, the elimination of concentrated public housing where people on welfare are spread throughout the community and not crowded into areas that quickly become "high crime" areas. Despite what people may think....geography and your neighbors matter, even if you never speak to them.

Rubio and Cruz both have very detailed plans for almost every topic on their websites. It is a shame Cruz is such a Neanderthal ideologue because many, probably about 75% of his plans are excellent. He is the classic example of how a good financial conservative becomes unelectable because of his stupid social issues. Blows my mind that a guy who comes from a state that leads the country in producing FOSSIL fuel thinks the earth is 6000 years old.

In 2007, wall street brought the world to its knees with financial scandals. - 0 people went to jail
Last year, about 10,000 children were given permanent learning disabilities via lead poisoning in Flint Michigan - 0 people went to jail
A white drunk driver kills a family of 4 - 0 people went to jail
1,000,000 black men smoke weed - 1,000,000 black men go to jail and are given a permanent felony record.

A non-violent drug charge should never be the end of someone´s chance to ever get a decent job.
