I was going to say, while it's probably not as prominent as it was back then, people trafficking is still going on. It seems like if there's money to be made, then people will try and make it, morals and ethics don't seem to come into it.
Modern day slavery doesn't get much coverage unfortunately. And rumors even have it that the security agencies do nothing to stop the selling of children and women.
