Your Thoughts On Mandatory Voting?

    There are many ways to "buy" people to vote. Day off or something like that but the point is to understand why they should vote. If the sole reason is that holiday or a day off, do not bother to vote. In my opinion nothing should be mandatory. I do not like the sound of it and especially in democracy. It is not something that will save the planet it, although it is important, it should be a choice. In my country military was mandatory until recently. You HAD to go to one to two year drill or whatever it should be called. If you do choose not to you would go to jail. Probably the same amount of time. If I was born in that time I would probably have had some jail time in my resume. I really do not support guns and that kind of thinking and mostly I consider it a waste of time because I know people who had that military training. They know nothing. They are unable to find north without compass and even with the compass they will have some troubles.
